May 9, 2012, Halifax, Nova Scotia – Carole-Ann Miller, President of Halifax based Maple Trade Finance Inc. has been elected to Atlantic Business Magazine’s Atlantic CEO Hall of Fame. Entrance to the Hall is exclusive to CEO’s in Atlantic Canada who have won the prestigious Top 50 CEOs’ Award five times

I am proud to say that I am a member of one of the largest alternative financial institutions in Canada and that we have provided well over $1.5 Billion in funding to hundreds of Canadian companies.”
Since co-founding Maple Trade Finance in 2001, Carole-Ann Miller and the company have been recognized through a number of awards. In addition to the 5 Top 50 CEO awards, Carole-Ann was recognized in 2010 by the Progress Club of Halifax with the prestigious Women of Excellence Award. The same year, Maple Trade was recognized as one of the top employers in Canada for immigrants and was also chosen as one of the top 15 employers in Atlantic Canada.
Since 2008, the western world has been challenged by the worldwide financial crisis and reduced demand for goods and services. Through this period, MTF has provided new and unique financial services to assist their clients, from across Canada, to keep their goods and services moving to both Canadian and export markets world-wide.
A graduate of York University in Toronto, Carole-Ann has also pursued graduate studies in business at Saint Mary’s University, where she also serves on the Advisory Board of the Sobey School of Business. Carole-Ann completed the Institute Certified Director program of the Institute of Canadian Directors through the Rotman School of Administration at the University of Toronto and serves on a number of Boards.
In addition to her corporate work, Carole-Ann is dedicated and passionate about giving back to the community as evidenced by the numerous local charities she supports both personally and corporately.
